Awesome. I'm all in - I have the Toronto show on a 3 disc boot called "Kind of Blue" and it's killer. Can't wait for the vinyl.

It's been awhile since Neil released anything that I was really over the moon for. These LPs will get a workout.

I'm assuming there won't be a pono version as this as it was probably recorded 16/44.1?

Quadruple vinyl $90. Not bad by Neil's standards

Also the track list is pretty much in chronological order so it will be good to hear the evolution of the band

If I wanted to be very picky (and I am a Neil fan), I would point out that "I'm Goin" has already been released as a B-side on the "Ten Men Workin" single...

But then I would also argue that "Ordinary People" should be in the listed as an unreleased song because the released version on "Chrome Dreams 2" is rubbish compared to this smokin' version...

  10. i was at that toronto show. fairly sure welcome to the big room was the encore rather than the opener.

i remember ordinary people being a highlight and then when chrome dreams came out thinking, whoa - i know this. it's still one of my all-time fav. Neil jams.

love, love, love this period of Neil - it got short changed as another genre-hopping indulgence, and then eclipsed by what followed, but take the blue notes on their merits and it's a fantastic slice of Neil.

Is he not doing DVD-A and Blu-ray any more on the Performance series?

Was Psych Pill his final hi-rez digital on a physical release? If you want the best sound it's vinyl or PONO?

This was probably recorded at 16/44.1 so no need for a hi res release

Errata - Ain't It The Truth is on Lucky 13. Fool For Your Love is on Road Rock.
    I'm Goin' was a b-side.

  19. Yes, that was exactly my thought! Anyway Neil Young CD's sound 5 x better than the best CD's from most other artists so vinyl always feels like a super-luxury (and unnecessary) statement where NY is concerned. He charges too much for vinyl too!

It is PS album #11 according to the cover art on Quboz

  21. A Treasure was #9 and Dreamin' Man was #12 so it had to be 10 or 11 and sensible money would have been placed on #11
