sounds like a record store broke the promise.

I would like the LP's but not the box.

The box should also be available for purchase from Neil Young's online store after RSD, no?

For anyone in Scotland, Mono in Glasgow say they'll be getting the box in and they are happy to reserve copies ... they thought the price would be in the region of £125 ...

Bloody pricing wars - ended up on the wrong side of it this time :) - I went all in at 156EUR about 10days ago. Hopefully I will get it soon.

At current exchanges rates, Sterling to Euro, I'd say €156 is near enough to £125? I think you did quite well.

Here is a well deserved shout-out to Amazon.it - I send them a friendly email alerting them to the price difference (I ordered at 156 EUR and the price is now 126 EUR) and they immediately responded and credited my account with the difference. Great customer service.

Hope they release these as single discs. I find the box kinda annoying when trying to just listen to records, so I usually throw the box out!

I'm think at least 6 members of the forum just had a heart attack and were rushed to the hospital based on that comment.

Thanks for that info - I ordered it as soon as I saw your post and it arrived yesterday.
Amazing box set - Bellman did a fantastic job on these.
And now I don't have to worry about Record Store Day! Well worth it.
I noticed after I ordered it the listing went to 'out of stock' - so they must have only had a few copies.

Grifter will receive a dozen PMs...7 requesting that he just mail his unwanted boxes to them (possibly for an upgrade) and the other 5 willing to go dumpster-diving. :biglaugh:

Received a call today from Mono in Glasgow to say they'd received their stock of the box, so I picked up my reserved copy after work. However, it's the 'Times Fades Away' labelled one which has led to so much discussion ... they received their stock from Warners and the price was £119.00 so I opted in but my only concern is that I'll be faced with inferior quality covers ...

To be fair, the covers are not the same pasted-on-cardboard covers as vol. 1 - 4. But still, very good quality.

I have a recent European edition of Zuma. Good quality cover, textured and decent thickness.
The cover on Zuma from Vol. 5 - 8 is thicker, with a better overall finish.

It's about $180 here. That seems very expensive. I'll probably buy it, but wasn't vol 1 around $120?

I paid $149.98 direct from Warner Bros. for the first box set.
