Sail Away (from: Rust Never Sleeps)

When i think about the road, I always see those
long strips of blacktop cutting through immense
valleys. I do have a song called 'Interstate' too,
that we are preparing. It was an out-take from
'Ragged Glory' and ended up as a bonus vinyl
track on 'Broken Arrow' a few years later.
    currently westbound...

Great, so he’s “preparing” a track that’s already been released. That’s promising.

Get Back On It (from: Re-ac-tor)

This was recorded the same day John Lennon died. I
don't think we heard the news until after we
recorded. On a happier note, we're almost home and
    will see the ocean today!

    lots of love,

    California Sunset (from: Old Ways)

Back home now after the tour, and waking up feels
good! I always appreciate it, but it's good to be
home. Climate change is big in the news, with dire
predictions for Earth in just 25 years. Hopefully
we'll mobilize and get started in the other
direction. I would be voting for people who see the
danger and don't ignore it. Leaders who are ready
to be responsible for the flock, not the bank
    account, deserve our support.

this song means a lot to me. Like the solo ukulele
version and this version too. I wrote it for my
    sweetheart.

Anybody feel free to post the 'Song of the Day' and keep this topic alive :pineapple:

I check in here fairly often so I'll post when I'm here. Enjoy your vacation!

Also, we hopefully can look forward to more NY notes on the Song of the Day. From the Times-Contrarian:

    10-7-18
I just got another batch of letters today and I wanted to take the time to thank you all for writing them.

One said, "I really enjoy reading what you write about the 'song of the day'. Please write more because when I play the song I always look for your message on the info card and I am disappointed when you don't leave a message."

That got to me. I felt good knowing that someone enjoyed reading my little messages so I have decided to try to write them as often as I can in the future.

Long May You Run (from: Long May You Run)

I must get together with SS to play some more
music. Stephen's guitar playing and singing on
Long May You run is one of my all time favorites.
This could have been a Buffalo Springfield song.

    lots of love,

It’s interesting to think that after all these years, after years of selling millions of albums, and playing thousands of concerts, Ol’ Neil still needs some kind of confirmation that many read and enjoy what he has to say.

Also, the fact that just one such response can still resonate with him is also telling, too.

When Springfield were playin' at the Wiskey (see
pic) I met Van Morrison when he was still in 'Them'.
Van is one of the greatest artists I have ever
    heard!

There was no comment added to "Sell Out" when I posted earlier, but now there is one:

This is a demo i did after I quit the Springfield. I
quit a couple of times. This was the first. I wanted
to go solo. It was just 10 months after Bruce Palmer
and I had arrived in Hollywood CA from Canada. It
must have been hard for them to be in a group with
me. i like the way i just wrote whatever came to
mind. it's a crazy song. i used my guitar case as
drums. the credits on this info card are still
    unfinished. ny
