They did a great version of Walk On at the secret show they did at the SLO Brewing Co the other day. Sounds like they'll be a great backing band.

Sounds like it's going to be a little preachy for my taste. I'm out (for now).

Well i'm so surprised, "The politically/ecologically-charged album will be released". He needs a pulpit, not a stage.

I like "preachy". Which is strange considering I'm not religious and haven't been to church since grade school.

What's wrong with releasing political music, and why should you automatically not want to hear it?

Especially from Neil Young - hardly anything unusual. If that's what inspires him then great. I'm happy he's inspired.

Go Neil, Go Neil you tell em. Monsanto have been running the show for too many a year.
I wonder when he will give up touring because of its carbon footprint.

I'm still waiting for vinyl prices for storeytone to come down. Maybe I'll buy this one on sale in 2018!

Daryl Hannah looks as if she may have been genetically modified at some point in the last 15 years or so...

Me too. I like the "preachy" comment. I guess Ohio was preachy too.

The spectacle of Neil Young pissing off his crankiest and most oldies-minded, more-of-the-same, it's-easy-to-get-buried-in-the-past fans is sort of thrilling. He just don't care about the angry passionate hardcore ingrates and whiners. At all.

  23. I never understood how people call singing songs about that stuff "preachy" but if he was singing in a similar sort of manner about other topics like love, etc it wouldn't be labeled "preachy."

All artists are preachy to some degree - they're projecting their feelings and views through their art. To call only the things you disagree with or dislike preachy is ridiculous.

I'm always happy to hear Neil Young has a new album coming out. Whether I'll be happy to buy it or listen more than 3 times is another story. I don't mind preachy as long as the songs are good. It certainly seems to fit Neil Young to put his political/social beliefs right out front.

Neil is not at his best when topical so while the shows containing vintage material might be worthwhile, a whole studio recording of such material hold the very real promise to be forgettable at best...WHERE'S CRAZY HORSE!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
