I like it, but from the description I was expecting some kind of 13th floor elevators freak out or Grateful Dead Anthem of the Sun style.
More of a folky feel---definitely sounds like it was recorded 45 years ago.

Sounds like 'hippy rock' with a latter-day Dead vibe...tres mellow.
Here's my idea of authentic Millennial neo-psych:

...you would have to mention Dough Tuttle, Mmoss, Electric Eye, and Dandelion/Dolly Rocker too.

This reminds me of Cat Mother for some reason.

Listening to it now. Pleasant summery psych folk vibes so far. Note to self: buy this.

The newest album is definitely not a strong representation of their previous work (though I think its great!). For a quick one song intro to the band check out Head On/Pill. Its a rad 16 minutes that dips and turns in every direction. If you dig that have at any of the albums from Float Along - to the most current releases. They really found their stride from this period on (in my humble opinion). And if you dig them at all check them out when they are in your town, great live act.

Thanks for the tip on the live show. Yes, when I first posted, I realized the new album is def. a bit different, less electric and freakish. Great stuff indeed!

Loving this album. Sort of reminds me of A lost 67 or 68 Kinks album, not lyrically but the feel and sound of it. Definitely a late comer in my best of 2015 list!

So the lads are back at it again releasing a new album in April titled "Nonagon Infinity", whats that about two albums a year? This one seems to hark back to the Mind Fuzz album dropping the 60's folk sound of last years "Paper Mache Dream Balloon" one of my favourites from 2015. The new single is called "Gamma Knife" and has a typically unusual video clip and are now taking preorders for the album .www.youtube.com/watch?v=nC7ii3Ir-no

wow.. talk about lack of reaction..I guess rock is dead.. anyways Nonagon is wonderful! For me the only way it could be better is if they had some ripping guitar solos but I don't think they are going for that... they are coming to DC soon and I aim to be there...

I found myself in the car today listening to Nonagon and headbanging like in the 1980s.. its that kind of music and so welcome..

The group has a new album due at the end of month titled "Flying Microtonal Banana". A couple of tunes out already including "Rattlesnake", eight minutes of the title repeated again and again but super catchy! Looking forward to the release.

How good are the Gizz?! So their new album gets released today in Australia and instead of doing a promo for it on Facebook they instead send a teaser for their next one!

They are planning to release 5 albums this year. Not a typo, 5 albums. Five.

Just discovered this tonight, I like it a lot. My first WOW! album of the year.

(though, I like the Ty Segall album a whole lot too, so maybe my 2nd WOW! album)
