Ah, I only want one, so I'll go with ATO. The one Aussie pressing of a King Gizz vinyl I have is exemplary.
ATO usually has some cool pressings, if you're into colored vinyl. Browse through their shop and check out some of their past releases. Their pressing of Gumboot Soup looks pretty sweet. I'm rolling with Flightless, mainly b/c I'd planned on getting something else in their store and I might as well make it a one stop shop.
Yeah, I’ve been really happy with the colored ATO pressings. I’d be incredibly shocked if they didn’t make their own for the reissues, especially since it’s the first time most of this stuff has ever been issued the US, I think other than that Oddments/Float twofer.
Available now! Anyone get any of them, or are y'all waiting for ATO? (Complete package bundle is already sold out) I only wanted two (Float Along and Oddments), so I just went for it. A bit pricey, but not too bad considering they're Australian imports.
I snagged 12 Bar Bruise and Wil's Beach. Man, all the pressings look pretty good. And yeah, the prices aren't too bad coming from a small little independent label. Aaaayyyyuupp!
Yeah, I didn't think they would look as good... Does anyone know what exactly the price disparity will be between the pre-orders and the upcoming ATO releases? Does the $40 an album include shipping, or is that even more? Thanks!
I was able to get the bundle with the slipmat. I’ll probably try for the ATO colored variants as well. I will also check myself into gizz rehab.
Okay, OKAY, OKAY! I'm such a Shlep... Yeah, I just couldn't resist the Oddments vinyl. GEEZ! It was in AUD, so when translated even with shipping it came to almost exactly $40. BUT, THAT IS IT!!!!!!!!!!!! I will wait for the other ones!
Here's what's left of the new pressings (approximately): 12BB - 800ish Wil's beach - 1200ish Oddments - 800ish Eyes - 600ish Float along - a little under 400 I checked this by adding 5000 copies to the cart. It'll automatically update it at check out to tell you how many are left. People REALLY wanted Float Along it seems
Neat. I checked Float along just now and less than 300 left. Will probably sell out by the end of the day.
Float Along, since I happen to have the FLAC version (along with Oddiments) was the first album I heard by them and the one that impressed me the most at the time. I'm HOPING that they will have plenty of the upcoming lesser expensive ones later on though. I wasn't quite as taken with the vinyl of Float Along as I was with Oddiments in this first set.
