Well, outside of a huge budget CGI spectacular (the kind of film I don't see Netflix bankrolling on its own), I can't imagine (m)any films that could generate much revenue in the theaters if they are simultaneously available for free on your home 60" TV.

IMDb ( that's right IMDb folks ) have some on the set pics. Al Pacino is completely unrecognizable. :)

Surprisingly, this will be the first time Pacino and Scorsese have ever worked together.

Now this is a film I'm looking forward to... and I don't say that very often these days.

Nice to see that Marty is shooting it on 35mm too... physical film for the win!!!

I just wish Al was playing a gangster, and not Hoffa. He hasn't played an actual gangster in almost 30 years.

Close enough I think? From Wikipedia: "Hoffa became involved with organized crime from the early years of his Teamsters work, and this connection continued until his disappearance in 1975. He was convicted of jury tampering, attempted bribery, and fraud in 1964, in two separate trials. He was imprisoned in 1967 and sentenced to 13 years."

    The Godfather/Godfather 2-
45th Anniversary. Interview with De Niro, Pacino, Duvall,Caan and Talia Shire is a classic.

When does The Irishman hit the big screen( TV)?

Blu Ray: Hope all the interview stuff is included in the extras. Robert Duvall is very funny.

    45th Godfather/Godfather 2 Anniversary.
Robert De Niro persuaded Al Pacino to do Scarface, said to Al "if you don't do it I will".

    The Irishman ( 2019).
The cast will be methuselah's age by the time the film comes out.

I could not imagine De Niro playing Tony Montana any more than I could imagine Pacino playing Travis Bickle.

Man, that ginger "psycho's" career just took off after Breaking Bad. Fargo, Black Mirror and now this film. Good for him!

Can't wait for this althoug my expectations are not skyrocketing. Just like in music, a reunion of the super cool line-up many years down the road does not guarantee a masterpiece.
