I was checking this morning, and doesn't seem to be anything yet...

Also, I was expecting there to be some sort of vinyl listed...I know it's been released in a million different editons already....but I'd be amazed if they resist the temptation to put somthing out on vinyl for the 40th...

My bet is this will be the "SuperDeluxe" edition from year 35, minus the vinyl.

There's where I've been all along. Still hoping there's something new here, but...

He did play it in some of the earliest PiL gigs in late 1978....

I really am hoping for something nice on CD because all I own is the stupid Japanese SHM SACD that was transferred from the original master tape.

The Super Deluxe package from the 35th anniversary didn't come with any vinyl, it was 3 CDs and 1 DVD.
    Vinyl was sold separately.

Why wasn't I Wanna Be Me (b-side to Anarchy In The U.K.) NOT on the 35th Anniversary box set? It was the only track missing!

The answer given is pretty convoluted and it wouldn't just made more sense to include it since it was a b-side to a Bollocks track. The reason given was that this was a 1977 box set. But wait- "No Feelings" is from the very same session and "No Fun" is 1976 as well, right? Well, their answer would be that both were tracks on 1977 releases while "I Wanna Be Me" was a track on a 1976 release. I find it a silly reasoning and was very annoyed they left the track off as well. The good thing is that the track is on the Swindle 2012 CD and the mastering fits just perfectly with the Bollocks box. Could this have been the real reason they left it off - so people who wanted all the b-sides would be forced to buy another CD? But now I'm annoyed I don't have the track in hi-res with the rest since it wasn't released on blu-ray.

    It's up on Amazon.co.uk
I pulled my book out of my Bollocks box set and compared pages with the sample pages, it's the exact same book that came with the box set.
So, if you have the box set, you can save your money.
If not, it's a nifty book to have...

In the 35th anniversary 2CD set the 1st CD is supposed to be the record and the singles b-sides, but also lacks I Wanna Be Me because it was not released in 1977. We missed a great chance to have one single CD with all the b-sides in that great remastering. It still annoys me, I had to make my own CD-R.

A question: I know it sounds great, but I wonder if I Wanna Be Me in the 2012 The Great Rock'n'Roll Swindle was remastered from the original tapes by Tim Young with Chris Thomas as they claim (and I believe) they did with the other tracks. Do you know anything about it?

I believe it was Philjens who said that that book belongs to the British Museum and that we should wear gloves to read it. So true, that book is a piece of art.

This new package contains the same three CDs and DVD as the previous box set, but just presents them in a smaller package. The new box (pictured above) looks to be around 6-7-inches square, whereas the previous box was a large format 12-inch set.
Missing is the large 100-page book, the replica seven-inch single, the poster, stickers and the copy of the handwritten lyrics. However, this new box set is less than half the price of the original and you do still get a 48-page hardback book with narrative from music journalist Pat Gilbert plus rare photos etc.

I daresay they've spelled "Belsen" correctly (as opposed to the SuperDeluxeEdition website)

Fantastic - I own the original big box and didn't want to see it's value diminish. It's a beautiful box, imho.

I also have the big box of 2012 but... Man... This new box looks sooo nice... Look at those new cd covers, each cd has its cover in different color scheme... And that 48 page booklet...
    Hmmmm...
Seems like the Sex Pistols Residuals will have a bit more of my money in the near future...

Surely you're kidding - I can see no reason to get this if you have the big 2012 box, unless you just have to have everything released....

Awesome. I was tempted to buy the super deluxe box when it was up on the classifieds here but I didn't have the cash and it's gone already. But this is everything I wanted from the box.

I really hope they don't remaster this. By all accounts the 2012 was the definitive (affordable) redbook digital set. Has there been a statement as to whether or not it will be (re-)remastered yet?
