Love the opening guitar. This has a similar chord progression and chorus to "Anarchy in the UK", but that's punk rock for you. I like Johnny's singing on this. Solid song.

Why you never tell me to my faaaaccccce!

Only John could call out hypocrisy n this style.

Every time I think of someone who has done wrong this song pops in my head.

That all said this track is a slight dip down from what came before. Although this isn’t the weakest on the album.

Funny seeing that 8-Track tape - that was how I first bought this album!

I do have the Blu-ray, it’s in the top left hand of the picture beside the eco packaged cd.

There's a quote from Chris Thomas (quoted in Heylin's book) that seems to imply that they recorded it themselves:

"It started off with a bass drum thing but I just had the idea of putting goosesteps on it because it was Berlin. Then, of course, you can't goosestep that quick, and Bill Price came up with a great idea. He just recorded one on a tape loop and triggered it off the bass drum."

“Liar” is fine, but it’s nothing special IMO. It’s just another Sex Pistols song.
