Black Ice was the best album they had put out since Back in Black.

AC/DC has basically put out the same record for decades, yet they are all still very cool. How is that???

Really, what is it you hear to make such a comment?

Good: Some good riffs and solos and Brian sounds great. Rudd too.

Bad: the lyrics are worse than ever and there's something weird and un-AC/DC about the background vocals.

Pink Floyd released their fourth album since the 1970's this year (that's four albums in 25 years), if that tells you anything. Thank god AC/DC can stand each other and have a work ethic.

Look up what Roger Waters is worth. That'll tell ya about work ethic ;-)

Typical AC/DC to my ears, only thing that bothered me after a complete listen was that it's kind of a short album- right around 35 minutes I'm guessing...?

Is it only streaming? When is the CD and / or vinyl?

I streamed the album a couple of times tonight, and I quite like it. It's plain old AC DC, but it's fun and very competent, with some cool riffs. Any time a legacy act can put together a decent album, I am more than happy to give them my business in thanks for a lifetime of music and memories. They aren't my favorite band in the world, but there's always a place for 40 minutes of unabashed rock and roll in my library. Good work lads!

I agree, though it was a bit long. Good to hear the new one is shorter.

My first thought is, "is Brian Johnson so bad at lyric writing that he can't contribute to these songs?"!! We're not writing a sequel to Desolation Row here!

I find Rock or Bust to be a pretty generic album, though AC/DC can be accused of that at the best of times. I think it's beneficial that it's so short. An extra five songs isn't going to help anything.

Yeah it's OK, just another AC/DC by numbers album, although I like the Nazareth-esque 'Rock The Blues Away'.

Not too sure if I want Rock or Bust, when I saw it was produced by Brendan O'Brien I wasn't too impressed. I have played a couple of tracks on YouTube and the sound is typical O'Brien sound, muddy and ploddy!

PS: Then again I never pass up a new AC/DC album, what to do?

It was weak - unisnpired! I thought I was listening to 'Centerfield' (John Fogerty) part 2. I wouldn't buy it.

Listening to it now for the first time sounds like a mix of For Those/Flick/Fly and Stiff Upper Lip. Fun little record no issues from me, can't wait to see them on tour.

    Like I said, 'Alternate Reality'.
It's not Pink Floyd, it's outtakes. If you want outtakes, buy bootlegs. The Group 'Pink Floyd' died years ago. Anything else is just holding on to a
    dead dream.
    Are YOU kidding?

a lot of fans who likes 'Stiff Upper Lip' would disagree with you.
And for the record, Black Ice had one good song-'Rock and Roll Train', the rest was just mediocre filler. Put on 'Riff Raff' right now and tell me
    I'm wrong.
