Yup they've been sharing pics on FB. Recording at Blackbird in Nashville.

Oh and they will be covering Motley Crue's Dr Feelgood on the new MC tribute album soon to be released.

    Today's update from Facebook:

Quick update...We recorded 12 new songs this week in Nashville for the new album! Mixing has begun, though the release won't happen until after the new year, in 2015. We had a ball! The songs that Raul brought in were amazing! - Jerry Dale

wow, that's some story about Robert…..sometimes you think when one is a little older, you kinda know to stay away from that stuff, but sadly it doesn't always happen that way…..

I love The Mavericks and own everything they ever released, but i may wait this one out or skip it, them covering Motley Crue is a bad sign IMO.

That was a favor to Scott Borchetta and they did an amazing job on it, it's on another level compared to the Crüe.

Great news! Their stuff is just plain fun. I was thrilled to get their last album on vinyl...hope the new one will be in that format as I dont buy cds. They have a great concert dvd for anyone unaware of that.

They have 2 live DVD's, one recorded last year and another from 2004, IIRC.

Just ordered both their 2013 album and the new one. I was thinking of ordering the first on vinyl, but for close to the same amount of money i get both on CD, can't wait to hear 'em.

It looks like the new one will be released on vinyl as an "early release" for RSD 2015.

Hopefully they release a vinyl version as they did for the last one.

Amazing band live - will be checking out their Fonda Theater LA show.

  25. It was really fun, actually. Them doing it up in such a Latin style . . . should have been done in time for inclusion on a Breaking Bad episode.
