By the looks of that cover I'd say it was being released by Audio Fidelity!

Yeah, my first thought was: Bob got the artwork done as an Earl Scheib special.

Ugly album cover, very generic. How bout an update on the Night Moves/Stranger in Town covers?

That Seger logo just doesn't look right without the Silver Bullet Band underneath it.

That's great for Bob. Great guy, living legend. Thing is...even with original vinyl, and a complete set of the Black Triangle CDs, I never play any of them anymore. I never even think of Bob's music, until a thread like this comes up.

    Best of luck to him.

It will be his second new album in 19 years. Bob doesn't really have a serious career at this point...He kind of records and plays when he feels like it.

IMHO, the essential fire-in-the-belly Seger career ended in 1982 with The Distance.

Live Bullet is a great live album. I'll probably pick this one up.

    Seger himself speaks:

“I feel really good about this record,” says Seger. “This album touches on how I think a lot of us feel about finding our place in a more complicated world – from how we appreciate things as simple and pure as love, to navigating through the corruption and violence that permeates the news. It sums up a lot of feelings I have about a variety of subjects.”

Love that last line, re: a lot of feelings...about a variety of subjects.

    What a tease!

Not a big fan of Seger, but I've got to respect the guy. He's always done things his way, and you can always tell it's him, he's definitely always had a very distinct signature sound. I also like that he pretty much quit the business for awhile. Seems to play when the feeling hits, you can't ask for much more than that. Good luck to him on this one.

Highway leading out of Monument Valley in Arizona. Many great John Ford films made there, and that particular stretch of highway looks like the exact one from the final scene of Electra Glide in Blue, the '73 film directed by James William Guercio, starring Robert Blake and with members of Chicago as characters in the film.
