On 31st July in response to a Lighthouse prompt Crosby announced on his Twitter account that 'I love that record.. and ...wait for it ...we made a new one ...last time was so good I asked for this to be a group. Record it's finished and on my computer and it will blow your mind.'

    He's in a hurry isn't he !!!

Still pretty slow by NY standards......can't wait for it.....Lighthouse & Sky Trails are still in frequent play....

I'm guessing this will have Becca Stevens on again. I notice Croz has been talking up big Jacob Collier who recently did a Prom at the Albert Hall. He seems to be a friend of Becca. What are the odds Collier gets a guest role ?

nice to see he's still so prolific. I saw him the last couple of times he was in my area, once solo and then with his band. both times were great.

Love the harmonies Becca & Croz create....makes it very difficult to miss Nash to be honest

CSN(Y) was the best thing that happened for Croz.
The possible end of CSN(Y) might also be the best thing that happened to him! He’s consistently putting out great stuff these days!

I think he's operating a two planes - he has said numerous times that
he didn't think he could live past 70 - with his horrendous health history.
IT seems he's grateful the windfall and is taking advantage of the gift.

The second plane is I think like most people post 70s - they feel the mortal coil
tightening around their necks =- and he's trying to shut it down by constantly
    working.

who would have thought that the Croz of all people* would still sound great and be so prolific?

*obviously referring to his health problems

Last two records are great. This will be a day one purchase for me. Agree with prior posts regarding a, "Who'd've thought it?" sense of delight.

Agree. Really enjoying his new found love of recording. He’s making some great albums. Looking forward to the new one. Who would have ever thought that out of the four, Crosby would end up being the most prolific with quality material this late in life. Good for him, and us!

His last two albums were very good. Hope this one follows the trend.

Who's stumping up the money for these records?

Probably Crosby himself. In these days of computers and ProTools, recording an album isn't all that expensive--nothing like the old recording studio system. Even pressing the discs (if there is a disc) and creating a digipak is pretty cheap.

Distribution of a CD to the few stores that still sell them costs some money, but it's easy to get on Amazon. Most people are going to be streaming and/or downloading anyway.

Hasn't he been saying records cost so much to make and sales aint what they used to be. I also thought he was saying he's broke, can't even afford a new car?

Who would have thought that Croz would be putting out better albums than Neil? Nash's last album was pretty good and I saw him recently and he was superb.

Just a little surprised at the way he announced it, as he seems to have been playing with Raymond, Pevar and co for the last few months. Yet this album presumably is back with Michael League of Snarky Puppy. Could be months yet before we know any more. Who knows ...

Could be that he's remained old-school and still uses a commercial recording studio, which would certainly be expensive.

Crosby is right now working with two sets of people with a certain overlap: he has the Sky Trails band which is basically CPR 2.0 and he has the Lighthouse band with Michael League and Becca Stevens. In both bands Michelle Willis provides vocals. What I am hoping for is a live project with both bands and backed by my Dutch national treasure, the Metropole Orkest.

you are all forgetting 'croz', which isn't too shabby either.

yep, of the four of them, neil young has slipped to the bottom of late.
