I turned it on when they announced it, but I think I'm going to turn it back off. I didn't realize that, unlike when someone pays with Paypal, Discogs wouldn't be processing the payment (that is, sending my dough to my bank) immediately or next day, like Square and other payment schemes do. They want to sit on it and take the float for a week, and to get prompt processing you have to pay 30 cents per deposit. Plus they take their nut right away rather than billing once a month, so they take away my float, too. The .02% discount they are offering over Paypal saved me about 9 cents on the 40 dollar record I just sold and cost me 21 cents (.30 - .09) to retrieve. Payments through Paypal (which all of my infrequent Discogs sales have been up until now) work fine for me.

good to know. i'd ignored it simply because i wasn't interested in hassling with non-paypal transactions at this time.

I was not even aware of this service. Their advertisement must have sucked. :)
