Yes. that is a Warner Japanese Hybrid 5.1 SACD released in 2011. In the same bach with Fleetwood Mac "Rumours", Donald Fagen "Nightfly", Eagles "Hotel California", Deep Purple "Machine Head" and Doobie Brothers "Capitain and me"

The mastering on that SACD is identical to the one found on the DVD-Audio of the same album. Warner reissued some of their DVD-A masterings on SACD in Japan last year.

So I finally got a chance to compare the Rhino cuts to these today...

Blown away at how much better these sound. I expected noticeable differences, but it's not even close! I could hear the difference within seconds when listening to '20th Century Fox'. The bass was the most telling. It's much more powerful and full sounding on the AP 45s.

If you have any doubt which to buy, don't. Just get these. They're sooooo good. I think my Rhino set will be going to my dealer when I get the cash together for a new phono stage. He's already agreed to give me a store credit for it.

I just received my Box Set and have to say I am blown away with the care taken to produce the Vinyl.For those who choose not to buy the Box and Book of the set ,you miss out!!!!!!

Waiting for someone to compare the 2013 SACD with the HDTracks version of the S/T album. It's one of my favorite records and I currently have the Perception box CD. So based on reviews, I want to upgrade from that.

Sorry if this has been answered before, but what mastering is HDTracks version?

Not really. I've been enjoying the records for months and I have lots of books on the Doors. There's certainly nothing wrong with spending an extra hundred bucks for a box and book if that what you want but I wanted the albums when they were released.

The box and book for the Beatles 2012 vinyl may well be worth $100. Not these, as "infinite" as they are.

Okay, now that these are real, I just pulled the trigger on the SACD box....

Sold my Rhino box today and picked up 6 other LLs with the credit.

I'm really pleased with my box as well. Very happy I made the purchase! The entire production is absolutely first class. All 12 records were mint and played dead silent, sound quality was wonderful, the covers are fantastic quality (THICK, glossy cardboard), etc, etc. However, I don't know if I can say the box itself and the book are worth $100. (As opposed to using that $ to purchase more music.) That said, they're both high quality like everything else with this release and again I'm glad I purchased it. For me it helps give the whole thing a sense of completeness.

I can't see myself purchasing the Doors' studio recordings ever again, either. However, I've said that before! I'm always down for more live recordings, though.

I was on acoustic Sounds ordering a CCR SACD and I seen the news after all the previous delays.
I definitely want to hear the S/T Doors

The Doors and The End? Never. I expect a few more compilations before the end of 2013.

I figure MFSL will announce Doors SACDs soon enough.

Knowing them, it would be SACDs of the stereo remixes.

I ordered the SACD box set back on July 17, 2o12. I just checked the order status and it is still showing backordered. Hope that changes soon .
