This is just a list of songs that you really like that you discovered in the last 12 months, give or take. They don't have to be new songs, as a matter of fact most of mine are old but I didn't discover them until this year. You can name five, you can name 20, whatever.

Here's my list of my latest discoveries I love, in alphabetical order by artist/band:
    1. The Action - Really Doesn't Matter
    2. Air Traffic Controller - Can't Let Go
    3. Courtney Barnett - Three Packs A Day
    4. Booker T. & The M.G.'s - Time Is Tight
    5. The Bottle Rockets - Gravity Fails
    6. Ben E. King - Let The Water Run Down
    7. Ray Lamontange - Supernova
    8. The Raveonettes - Last Dance
    9. Terry Reid - Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down)
    10. The Rolling Stones - Child Of The Moon (mk)
    11. Th Segall - Fanny Dog
    12. The Shangri-las - The Train From Kansas City
    13. Teenage Fanclub - The Concept
    14. Richard & Linda Thompson - I Want To See The Bright Lights Tonight
    15. Wooden Shjips - Back To Land

I don't think I've heard any of those. I'll have to check them out.

Keeping strictly to the last 12 months, there hasn't been much:

    Suzanne Ciani - "Sirens"
    Hiroshi Yoshimura - "Wet Land"
Branford Marsalis Quartet - "Yes or No (live at the Newport Jazz Festival)"
Mountain Carol - "Mountain Carol (EP version)"
Paul McCartney - "Monkberry Moon Delight"

Go back a bit further, and Herbie Hancock's "Paradise" comes to mind. That exact sort of early-1980s smooth jazz is right up my alley.

Also several songs by the Lemon Twigs, especially live versions of "Haroomata" and "These Words" -- couldn't get them out of my head. The studio take of "I Wanna Prove to You" is great too.

I found all of these on YouTube.
Ache Shadow of a Gipsy (their spelling)
Sutherland Brothers and Quiver Arms of Mary
Sutherland Brothers and Quiver You Got Me Anyway
Albert Hammond Rebecca (not as good as Flo and Eddie's version, but still a great song)

I listened to Shadow Of A Gipsy and really liked it. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to be on any streaming services, just YouTube. That kinda sucks. But it's a killer tune

I don't think it was more than a year ago when I first heard Never Let Her Go by Frank Gorshin (a. k. a. The Riddler on Batman):

Forty or fifty songs by R. Stevie Moore.

    Here's a good one:

    "New Jersey Games"

The guitar tone during the chorus seems like he time-traveled from 1978 to 2012 and stole Kevin Parker's (Tame Impala) guitar pedals/rig.

Oh man, lots of stuff. Easily the best year for music exploration so far (in terms of quantity). I'll exclude full albums no matter how good they are and only pick the highlight from each.

    2. Today - Jefferson Airplane
    3. Sitting by the Riverside - The Kinks
    4. I Shot the Sheriff - The Wailers
    5. Rebel Music (3'O Clock Roadblock) - Bob Marley
    6. Want More - Bob Marley
    7. Third Stones From the Sun - Jimi Hendrix
    8. If 6 Was 9 - Jimi Hendrix
    9. All Your Love - John Mayall and the Bluesbreakers
    10. Oo You - Paul McCartney
    11. Roger's Boogie - Pink Floyd
    12. Put Your Head On My Shoulder - Paul Anka
    13. Angel Baby - Forgot her name
    14. Big Bottom - Spinal Tap
    15. Sour Girl - Stone Temple Pilots
