For sure, it can be a case of disappointment when listening to some music on Harbeth and other speakers of the like. But the highs are too high for me to even consider a switch. I have been enjoying most of my rock music thru' my old Ruarks now employed in a digital set up rather than the Harbeth set up.

I personally don't mind that most recordings sound like..... recordings. I enjoy them for what they are and it makes the really great ones stand out as a special treat. There are a few old rock recordings I'd perhaps prefer to hear on a less-than-honest system, though. Rose coloured glasses come in handy once in awhile. Still, on balance the accuracy of a speaker like a Harbeth is the path I prefer with the electronics to back them up.
