Aww DAMN that sucks.
I got it in the DAMN wash right away and those DAMN stains came right out! the shirt is still too DAMN big though.
No, it was only the initial first press that was signed.
I'm starting to get worried. I haven't even received a tracking number yet.
Interesting. Hopefully you get yours soon.
Who cut and pressed the EU vinyl?
I have it. The front and back cover art is total crap, like a CD sized image stretch over a larger area, looks like a bootleg! The lettering is shiny though.
Its going back, really deep groove scratches on side c and d, like someones fingernails gone in really deep, or a piece of metal. It does affect play, its not just a surface mark (I can handle those).
Nothing really of note on the matrix, there are two hand carved initials though "SS" - that may indicate who did it?
Not listened to it anyway, waiting on a decent copy first
The irony of complaining about the image quality of the art, then posting that total potato of a photo...
Love his song called HUMBLE.
The irony of taking time out of your life to put something on the internet, only for someone on the internet to complain about you doing so. I should have learnt not to bother really.
Its not any different in the flesh, regardless of the resolution of my photo
I hazard to guess your grainy photo is not an accurate representation of the image quality of the cover itself. As evidenced by how blurry the edge of the sleeve is at the top right of the photo. If that edge were sharp, I would believe that the photo was correctly focused and representative of the image quality of the cover. As it stands, it's a blurry photo that provides zero evidence to support the claim that the image quality is lacking. Not that I don't believe you, the photo just doesn't help in illustrating the issue.
It looks BETTER in my photo than it does with the eye
Thanks englishbob for taking the time to post the image. Appreciated. There's no pleasing Zeppelin fans unless there's a double necked guitar in the photo.
Couldn't you have taken a photo of the LP without a damaged upper left corner ? It's also not straight. And no double neck guitar. I prefer the englishbob shot.
Not my photo. Nice try though
Probably about as good as it gets, the rear image is also the same quality. I swear its just CD cover actually re-scanned in, stretched out and put on a sleeve.
So compare this...
Seriously though, his last album cover looked exactly like bootleg also.
The cover for the US pressing is the same. I think it may be intentional? I mean, the cover art itself looks like a CDr bootleg made on Windows Paint.
First impression EU vinyl: sounds good. Artwork look a little blurred, backcover photo is worse.
Same thoughts as you really. It looks like a bootleg. Which is unfair to some bootlegs
aw man, all these years and I've been getting it wrong. I usually LISTEN to the music. turns out i'm supposed to stare at the artwork. my bad.
Of course the music and the cut are more important. But this is a premium priced product, in the UK the average price for this is £25, so in your money that is around $34. My main bugbear is that no real effort has been made with it, and I reckon any out of work digital artist could of done it better.
It still concerns me sometimes how little some artists get involved with quality checking of their output. Seems that the itunes release is the only thing that matters these days.
Yeah, just saw this at a local record store - to be honest, the cover is so bad, that I just couldnt buy it and especially with that price - 25 euros. Its looks worse than a bootleg.
Separate names with a comma.
