    Hello all,
Has anyone listened to or purchased the new Mac stereo tube amp or pre-amp? They look pretty cool. I was wondering if these will become the classics of the future. ref: MC 2102 amp and C2200

I have listened to them twice through Tannoy's at the dealer. They sound
wonderful in a word. Even with modern production tubes. You live close enough for a trip to SF, go for a drive! Well worth it. They are open weekday evenings too.
I was talking to Ron, the factory rep, at HE2003. He told me they have a tube integrated in R+D, should be out next year.

    Hi Ron,
    It's called:
    House of Music
    555 9th St. S.F. (415) 255-0888
Take your lady, there's a Nordstrom's outlet right by it too, score some points! Leave all your credit cards at home too! 3 rooms of McIntosh gear. Great service dep't. but won't do vintage tube stuff.(parts)
    See ya, Carl

He hardly needs to. Clay lives in Saratoga and there is a Mac dealer at the Westgate mall - about 5 minutes away. I think it's Century Stereo; a very fancy store. I go in there everytime they have a sale, but I don't end up buying anything.

    Regards,
    Geoff
