I love seeing some relatively newer titles. In addition to Dire Straits I'll be going for The Knack.

The section for Chicago mentioned all the titles available on SACD it showed "Chicago 17". So, will "Chicago 17" be released on SACD?

Remix or remaster? In either case both have already been done. Not everything can be "fixed" and only some even consider it broken.

Layla is a Zen puzzle for audiophiles. If the SQ is getting in the way of its deep beauty and greatness, you're too invested in a certain kind of fussy sonic clarity.

It is a nice catalog, isn't it? BTW, the Spinners LP came out in late 2015, I believe. I have a copy. A nice record!

I wonder why Maladroit is missing from the Weezer titles. 2017 looks expensive so far.

They should at least make SACD's of those that are allready out there on vinyl.

Did MoFi release Painted From Memory in the past? I don't know how much better it can sound as I have the original CD and it sounds great.

I live in Canada and have ordered from MusicDirect for years. In the past they would send me the new catalog automatically. Never received one this year or last, and sent a message off last night for them to kindly mail one to me. They responded today that they would be happy to, but I will have to cover the cost of postage for the catalog and suggested I call them to arrange...

    Unbelievable...!

    Wow.

That's one hell of a business strategy.

I didn't get one either.

Not sure about your 1st question, but re that 2nd question: you know there's always room for (even marginal) improvement

Upcoming. MoFi has never released this on any format.

That would be terrific, based on their track record for a number of years now.
That CD was in my car for months in 1998. Beautiful songs, even with EC often reaching above his range. As an aside, I saw him on Oct. 18th and he was absolutely great. Just him, a guitar, piano, and occasionally, a local backing duo of guitar/voices.

I'm not sure which is the bigger old warhorse...the same old reissues or the same old complaints about the same old reissues.

We can only hope the upcoming MFSL is remixed and autotuned to perfection...

Yes please. I'd love to retire this vinyl rip I have of Stained Class for a properly done hi-res version.

That's what I figured. You definitely don't seem to be an "autotune" fan :D.

I don't know how to get them to stop sending them to me. The last time I ordered anything from them was 2015...i have no idea how they even have my new address, but I really don't need a paper catalog, ever. Nothing on the website for how to stop delivery though.

Ouch! I hate PSU too. Go RU! Also I think I noticed on the back of the Music Direct Catalogue that Linda Ronstadt's Heart Like A Wheel was there too.

It's an interesting question. After all, they pitch corrected kind of blue, didn't they? On the one hand, the off key version is what we're used to hearing, but the pitch corrected is what the musicians played.
