Dear God, it's totally impossible to make a mistake around here. Maybe Helen Keller will do the cutting. Yeeesh!

Super excited about this one, even though I have a nice UK pressing which has an unbelievably good sounding Side 1 (S 62860 A2). :)

The MFSL will not sound better.... different. The same story like Brothers in Arms. Sounds different to the SHM-SACD, but not better.

Right now music direct has 20% off until 3/12 code MAR20. Not sure it's okay to post that in this thread. If not a gort is welcome to delete.

Not sure if someone else posted it already but amazon shows the long awaited Dire Straits SACDs with a release date of July 31st, .....yes 2018. Fingers crossed.

Last year they had a date of 12/31/17 so I wouldn't have high hopes. Maybe we'll be luck though ;)

Have the BIA BD. Not sure I need the SACD except to rip the redbook layer. Don't have a BD drive to rip from.

Well, it’s finally here. I don’t have it yet but look forward to your impressions. The wish list never stops growing.

Not only is Music Direct shipping the Chicken Skin Music LP but also the Breakfast In America SACD which means that vinyl release can’t be too far away. It’s almost as if they really have intentions of releasing what they’ve announced.

Interested in the Supertramp title. Think I'll wait for some reviews though. I have the Pure Audio BD but can't rip it 'cause I don't have a BD drive for my computer. Like to get to that remastered red book layer and then enjoy the SACD on the big rig every so often.

But if someone prefers the difference, then it sounds better. :D

Going to wait as well this time around, the differences for the last two titles I picked up ended not being a favorite :)
A 'warm' presentation is kind of what i'm looking for on this title.

Probably dead in the water or delayed for some time more since UMe is re-issuing the vinyl box set this summer.

I suppose be curious to hear these if/when MFSL does them, but honestly the UMe pressing are excellent and the grass may well not be greener on the other side.

Agreed on Brothers in Arms, in the case of Breakfast In America though, I think improvement could be made over the original CD.

I agree George, besides my old MFSL lp i'm just looking for something that tames those high's somewhat. (personal taste)
I trust your ears so if you grab this SACD let us know what you think :)

    I feel the same way.

Thanks I've been buying most of the new mfsls lately so I probably will pick it up.

I was surprised to get an email from Music Direct that the Breakfast In America MOFI SACD had shipped. I'll be curious on how it sounds compared to the SHM-SACD. Are the Dire Straits MOFI SACDs not far behind ;)?
