I posted before about the new version of the NANCY (and Sluggishness, etc.) comic strip x by the artist who is signing herself Olivia Jaimes. Just recently, I saw YET ANOTHER article rubbing itself with ecstasy about how fab it was, " the perfect comic strip for 2018 ", this one from SMITHSONIAN magazine. Is there something in the water that makes the press all write the same thing? The article was, at least partially, more " Hosanna in the highest! " about the fact that Jaimes' NANCY HAS A LOTTA TECHNOLIGY JOKES! Oooooh, hallelujah. The article claimed that the strip now had technology jokes and POC kids among Nancy's friends. Factually speaking, IIRC, the predecessor on the strip, Guy Gilchrist. had both. Actually, for tech/" modern " jokes, Iit is a running joke of mine on my Facebook to b*tch about syndicated strips overdoing the would-be " modernity " with tech and " bingewatching " jokes! Even fuggin' PICKLES...
