The Roxy performances should be Special Release Series #2. I hope this is true.

Is this from Neil’s obtuse glam/Eno phase, or was he already doing his velvet jacket crooner thing?

Springsteen's camp might release his Roxy '78 show to round it up. :)

  16. Yep if you go to neilyoungarchives.com there is a note on the main page saying "NYA News Update Timeline 1973" - so this must be how they are going to keep us updated on the archives.

More likely it will be Performance Series #4. Or if we still believe in Time Fades Away II, it could be Performance Series #5. Roxy is a true multi-track recording and this will be great. The first night was filmed by Briggs, but the film was lost. Some lucky bugger probably has it in a basement somewhere. Hope that finally turns up.

I'd be happier if it was 4.5.

Not sure if this has been covered somewhere before but in the latest NYA Times-Contrarian Neil talks about his thoughts on vinyl record production (analog masters etc., etc.) and there is an interesting picture. There are 4 records on display, one with Roxy on the label (the other labels are covered up by the other records). So, is this going to be a 4 LP set? Or is it just the 4th in the series?

Or just both sides of a 2LP release. The Roxy shows were only 60-70 min.

Or those other three records don't mean jack diddly and are just there to make the figure look better!
