New Paul McCartney album "Egypt Station" coming September 7, 2018*

Yeah, I remember Paul’s version being used regularly when I was a kid in the late 70s.
I remember the end credits also mentioning ‘Paul McCartney & Wings’, even though we all know they were ‘Wings’ by the time of Venus and Mars.

I wish Paul would release a double (or perhaps triple) album with all songs he has recorded in the past 5 years or so.

 

I'm not sure if Paul has, or has not, recorded a profusion of extra songs over the past 5 years. He seems to have slowed down dramatically when it comes to writing and recording new material.

 

Maybe a triple album of Hey Jude soundboard recordings.

 

Or Bip Bop.

 

Edited together in a fashion similar to the way Neil Young's Arc was made. Paul is the experimental Beatles after all!

A few years ago he mentioned that he had hired a company (Hewlett-Packard, I believe) to set up a virtual "cloud" that would give him instant access to all of his digitized audio & video recordings anywhere in the world. If he's willing to share his password, we'll know how many songs he's recorded in the past 5 years (or 5 decades)

Yeah, that was 2009 and they have deligently been loading all things Macca in there. The year he hired them, Paul played their conference out in Las Vegas. I was lucky enough to sneak in!
