Anyone else watch the US premiere last night on PBS? I love the cast, but only had a few true laughs from me. I like how it feels like a 30 minute play, but was hoping it'd be a little more scathing and less over the top .

I saw it. Pretty predictable sitcom banter. I think Ian McKellen and Derek Jacobi are interesting to watch in just about anything, but there's not much else to the show.

My wife giggled a bunch. I didn't find one clever line in the show. Cannot imagine watching it again. In order for a sitcom to work there has to be empathy or at least interest in the characters. There was none there. They never introduced the characters or anything else. Just a series of mostly not very funny jokes and innuendos.

Good cast. I'll watch it again, but it really seems pretty tired. Needs some real AbFab-ish nastiness!

Fairly typical British comedy. Two old queens with predictable over the top jokes and very uninteresting characters. Where could the show possibly go from here?

I liked the play-like format. Very well done, I thought.

I've seen the whole series, broadcast last year in the UK, and it gets better as it goes along. Still very broad, but if you like the two leads, it's fun.

Very quick, instant transitions, but good for some laughs.

It got better as it went, but I really didn't like Iwan Rheon - I kept seeing him as Ramsay Bolton and expected him to start skinning people.

New season is up. Anyone else watching? The first episode was pretty standard sitcom tropes, but I like the cast.

Yes, still watching. I thought the middle episodes of the first season were the best but still enjoying it enough to keep following. The wedding is next up here.

I can take or leave this one, but I am a sucker for any jokes involving the dog.

Always fun watching Ian McKellen and Derek Jacobi bitch at each other, but Frances de la Tour steals every scene she's in.

The dog seems to be gone. I didn't see him in the first episode other than a photo on the fireplace.

    He was getting pretty old.

Sure he *seems* to be gone, but he may surprise us yet. LOL

The one hour series finale was excellent. The perfect mix of humor and touching storytelling.
