While that doesn't make a lot of sense, however, I nominate Mr. Sax as well, THE TRUE mastering GOD!!!! And please don't confuse his digital transfers to vinyl as his work, no more so than you should with BG. All the work was done beforehand on the digital reissues. Good/bad, these seem to be Guthrie's (I'm scared of dynamics) handiwork.
A good dose of reality, Slick. Although, the Sax cuts were not part of the Guthrie/Plante campaign, were they?
Looks like DSOT is getting a re-release as part of the new label. https://www.amazon.it/gp/product/B0...mid=AMC33EUD0RMH3&fref=gc&dti=402872516431903 Maybe we'll get P*U*L*S*E too?
If they re-release Delicate Sound of Thunder but don't re-release PULSE, I'm going to come in here and complain.
I think that it is necessary to begin with something. All of us wait for it long ago. I am sure that P.U.L.S.E. it will be obligatory.
Great News! I consider this vinyl release campaign as a a huge success and since I don't own Delicate Sound of Thunder (and Pulse aswell) I am happy to get the chance and finally add them to my collection.
I hope for all live albums getting (re)-releases on vinyl, especially Is There Anybody Out There?-The Wall Live and maybe Live at Wembley 1974 exclusively on a 3-LP set. And what about the Echoes compilation on vinyl again?
Fun fact: if the title of Delicate Sound Of Thunder was changed to "Delicate Sound Of Thunder, Mannnnn", then both it and Dark Side Of The Moon would have identical acronyms.
Get the 30th anniversary DSOTM if you can get a quiet one. I think it sounds better than most of these reissues...
I would say that Piper, Saucerful and More are the biggest threats to the original UK pressing dominance.
What is it that you find better in the UK version of Obscured by Clouds that is lacking in the new one?
Don't know if it's true but I just read that A Collection of Great Dance Songs will be released on vinyl as well.
