At least the version that was remastered for the Immersion box which corrected some issues with the original release.
Hmm that makes it kinda unique... if the Floyd staff gonna re-release the live album but with the later remaster...
You don't have to speculate...a quick look in discogs at the cd catalog versions verify the post studio album official numbering as... Not yet. But possibly it'll get an own vinyl re-release. I hope for the blue artwork. I'm not against Nick's original drawing but a color sleeve just looks better.
I hope they do Relics for the "Biding My Time" song, that did not appear (I don't know why!) in the Early Years box set and the compilation Works because of the "Embryo" song. And I hope they do PULSE and Is There Anybody Out There? The Wall Live.
I find it kinda surprising they chose to re-release Delicate Sound of Thunder instead of Pulse. Don't get me wrong, I think the former is a tremendous album. But all these years I just had the impression the Floyd camp liked Pulse better, since they gave it a DVD treatment.
Pulse has to be a box set on vinyl, not a regular double LP in a sleeve. Probably saving that for later and with a different numbering scheme.
If I remember correctly, the second CD of Delicate Sound Of Thunder was over 55 minutes long. That's a lot of music to cram on one LP. Perhaps they should have made it a triple album on vinyl.
This might already be common knowledge, but the Grundman WISH YOU WERE HERE mastered vinyl is now being distributed here. I just bought a copy at my local Target. It had Grundman's name on the hype sticker so I took a chance. I have the 2011 so I know the difference. I can see BG on BOTH sides of the runouts without a TML stamp anywhere. Matrix numbers are scribed. BTW, the checkout girl was floored when she rang up my LP. She couldn't believe Target was selling records again.
That's a matter of opinion. A nice way of saying that I can't hear a whole lot of difference between them is to say I like them both. Hard to choose between Doug Sax and Bernie Grundman.
I'd favour an extended Relics with the rest of the singles (Point Me..etc)....and of course mono versions of the first 2 albums.
I just ordered The Dark Side Of The Moon from Universal Music Canada for a very nice price. Is it safe to assume that it'll be identical to the US version?
Back in 2008, or so, I bought a bootleg Delicate Sound... from Amazon UK. Us And Them is on it, between WYWH and Money, along with a DVD. .
