Pete Brown (Cream, Jack Bruce) is the lyricist for this album. His writing is very much in the same vein as Keith Reid's.

    It's a Gary Brooker album.

I'm inclined to reserve judgment until I hear the thing, but it is a little weird to me to bill it as Procol Harum with only Brooker involved from the original lineup. Is this the present touring incarnation?

Yes, it's the touring incarnation since late 2006.

(And 3/5 of the personnel from 2003's album "The Well's On Fire.")

In the same way that any King Crimson album since LTiA is a Robert Fripp album...

depending on how you look at it, it's been the brooker band since they reformed. I don't consider it as such but some do. with any luck they'll tour the states. been quite a while sine I've seen them.

That;'s a bit of a shocker. When did he leave the ranks?

  17. Beautiful cover.

  18. The biggest selling Fleetwood Mac only had two original members.

I agree, Larks' Tongues . . . being my last KC album.

I think there was some dispute over the remaining AWSOP royalties after Fisher won his case.

Aside from writing the words for their 2003 album (The Well's on Fire), Reid didn't seem to have much involvement with the band this century anyway. An occasional appearance but didn't tour with them, as far as I know.
