A shame that one wasn't done on vinyl in the first place. With its four quarter-of-an-hour parts it's ideally suited for a double lp.

Do we know who is mixing it? Will we get a 5.1? Andy Jackson would be the best call here, has he ever worked with Waters?

fmfxray373 Capitol LPs in the 70s were pretty good.

Well is one less 73 year-old "super rich" man on the planet worth a world without Dark Side Of The Moon?

I think Zappa and Lennon watched TV news for song ideas. ALL music is about society when you think about it.

Andy usually works on David Gilmour's albums and some of the Pink Floyd's projects.

James Guthrie is the gentleman involved with Roger Waters' albums and some of the Pink Floyd's projects.

Yeah... I bet both of them didn't think they would still do that in 2017 when they started out in the '60's...

I was referring to the ideas and thought he is about to share with us on the new album. I consider Dark Side (the original album) to be authentic, something I can identify with. I had my doubts with more recent outputs from Waters. Don't get me wrong, he still is propagating the right values and I agree to most of his comments on society, but his recent attitude is quite comercial. - Is he only in it for the cash? - I was thinking about that witnessing two lip sync Wall "live" shows staged by a creative genius like a giant Disney like multimedia show - a bit overloaded to my taste. I felt actually quite embarrased at the moment when he pointed the machine gun to the audience and had mixed emotions when I left the place. - Putting that aside I really think that I will have a lot of fun with the new release. The teasers are promising!

I love that it shows the gray hair in David's sideburns. Probably from dealing with Roger the last few years. :p

Even cooler: it's actually the rarer Fender Esquire:

Gilmour just apparently added a neck pickup so it'd look like a Tele or something :p

I'd say he added it so he could play it as if it were a Tele. Bruce Springsteen's "Tele" is actually an Eqsuire, I believe.

It's apparently the same one he used back in the day. These photos showsit with a humbucker, then with a single coil. (Photos from Gilmourish.com - not sure of it's earlier origins.)

Urgh. I'm an idiot. Of course it is - sunburst finish and binding. I had a total brain fart on that one. Not sure where I got my answer from. Sorry everyone!

I think calling yourself an idiot because you're discussing David Gilmour's guitars in a Roger Waters thread is a bit strong. Taking the piss, surely, but an idiot, I think not.
