New TV recommendation, please

    I'm hoping my current plasma lasts until OLED sets become common enough for prices to drop to the level LCDs are at now.

    Thanks Dave. The manual leaves much to be desired as it says little more than the on screen help. I think I figured it out.

    I hear good things about LED LCDs but I've not seen one set up in a home. I know my bottom of the barrel Panasonic Plasma looks far better than any of my friends' LCDs. Maybe LCD tech can get as good as plasma, maybe. OLED has 2 problems that I'm aware of. Price and lifespan. Supposedly burn-in is an issue as well. I'm hoping my plasma will last a long, long time.

    For what it's worth, my last CRT TV lasted 15 years before it started to malfunction. As the article points out, there will almost certainly be something better and cheaper by the time I'm ready to replace my plasma.
