New TV series The Rookie

Anybody interested in or going to watch the pilot of the forthcoming TV show The Rookie? It stars Nathan Fillion the guy from Castle. It will be aired @ 10pm tonight on ABC I think. This TV show seems promising and at least it isn't a reboot.

You're right - this one is not a reboot. But there was a show many years ago on ABC called The Rookies.

Sounds like a cross between that and McClain's Law.

 

Another rookie based show I liked a lot was Rookie Blue (initially because of Missy Peregrym).

I saw this show and it was okay, nothing groundbreaking and very network formulaic. I think the show is relying on the charismatic appeal of Nathan Fillion.

 

It was pretty good imho. Even though it may be an old idea/formulation for a TV show its still better than any reboot. I get really pissed off when I hear or see a reboot of TV show that was already great to begin with.

junkie for about 50 years, so

Have it Tivod but haven't watched it.

Really enjoyed the first 3 seasons of castle.

 

I used to like the original Rookies series when I was a kid. So this new series has nothing to do with it? I was kinda hoping it had some relation since it was on ABC, although in general I am not a reboot fan. Hopefully it is on Hulu.
