Looks like it might be a new studio album, but no news on his official website.

Can't be new Van Mo--no songs about the worms running the music industry.

I haven't heard anything about it. I'd love to know if it's really a new studio recording.

He doesn't have to write about that any more if you are going to go on about it...be gone!

Looks like a new album! I hope so - and I'm glad he's been pumping them out recently (comparatively for him). Along with the reissues, it's been a great last decade of Van music.

Dude, I've been buying his product and traipsing out to his shows for 40 years. I done earned the right to grumble.

He seems to have replaced those with "I was born to sing" type lyrics.

Dude, you know damn well this is not Brian Kennedy.

If it was Brian, he would've posted:

PLEASE LET IT BE A NEW STUDIO ALBUM (please let it be a new studio album), PLEASE (please), PLEASE

Awesome, looks like 13 new songs [EDIT: Correction, "Share Your Love with Me" is a cover]. And even though it's been 4 years since Born to Sing, it'll just have been a year and a half since Duets. I'm really liking Van's late-career energy.

This gag is justified, but, on the other hand, Born to Sing: No Plan B didn't have any record-industry grumbling at all. It had a lot of grumbling about other things -- the worms running the banking industry, for example -- but I think we can all agree that Van had a point.
