Johnny Carson was no longer welcome at a few Manhattan establishments prior to his departure for Burbank.

I hope Fallon is ok and works through it. I like him and his show, more fun than any other late night show imo.

I have actually cut way back on watching Fallon, as it just seems so overdone lately and I'm really, really sick of Jimmy always yelling!

He's obviously got a lot more money to spend, that is his choice...

I agree. I've quit watching every show and only scan through recorded episodes to watch an occasional interview or musical performance. Still, in small doses it's a very fun show.

You lost me at "New York Post". Anyway, I think TMZ was on this one a week ago. It almost broke the internet.

Sounds to me like he is having a ball, working hard and playing hard. As long as his wife is ok with it and he doesn't drink and drive, I say let him have his fun. I don't think he is the first late night tv host who likes to drink.

If what I read is true the problem's a tad more serious. It said that NBC knew he was an alcoholic when they hired him and that they're very concerned about their golden goose.

If he truly does have a problem I hope he is able to change course and get healthy, but I fear his handlers/NBC will simply enable the behavior lest they jeopardize the gravy train.

I only watch him when he has a good guest on.

    Still a super funny guy.

He should just openly drink on his show like the Dean Martin show. Maybe it would then actually be funny.

I could tell me was drinking too much before I read the linked article. I can tell by how red and puffy his face has become in recent years.

Jimmy Fallon has made no attempt to hide that he loves to drink a lot. At some point, that level of drinking will become unsustainable.

NBC will only get involved if he's incapable of going on the show...

  22. Anyone see that segment with Rod Stewart last week? JF got weird during the interview and I thought Rod was gonna smack him. IIRC, after JF said something nonsensical, Rod said something like" what are you getting on about?'

  23. I still think he's done a lot for the format and brought a whole new (young) set of viewers to the late show.

The show already features its fair share of drinking games.

Jimmy's hyper demeanour might lead you to think the white powder would be the issue more than drinking. But I think he's just naturally like that.

I don't know... does going out and partying a lot mean you're an alcoholic, or just a person who likes to have fun? Jimmy is a high spirited guy. Is he drinking the moment he gets out of bed, or all day at work? And the run of accidents could just as well be coincidence. He fell down at the Harvard party because someone knelt down beside him and he didn't see them -- could happen to anyone. Of course, he was holding a bottle of Jagermeister at the time.
