I recently sat with both of them, as well. I liked the Legacy so much I went out and bought a spare copy.
No, I don't like sibilance at all. However my Cart and TT can track this record so I hear no sibilance. I agree that the Legacy has more treble energy than the Universal pressing.

Yeah, we have no idea what he's playing the record on/through. It could Fred Flinstones' TT for all we know. Or his cart is out of alignment.

The cart is not out of alignment. If that were the case I would have the same / similar issues on the other pressing and on other records!

For the listening of these LP's I used '''''
Michell Gyro SE with upgraded power supply [often referenced as a fred flintstone deck :)]
    Tecnodec arm
    Ortofon 2M Black
    Trichord Dino MK2
    Chord Cadenza Reference inter connect
    LFD MK 5 Integrated amp
    LFD Spiroflex speaker cable
    Harbeth 30.1 speakers
stands who's name escapes me for the moment, maybe more fred flintstone merch!!

A very detailed return from this set up, nothing gets past it. That's why I use this set up when checking various pressings of the same title!

Looks good, now put it in your profile. If your TT is set up correctly there should be not sibilance. You are the only one that mentioned sibilance or do you equate treble to sibilance.

I used to have a set up that played MOST records fine but there were a few that had bad sibilance, I thought the cutting sucked. After going with a better setup I can now play these records and they sound great,

And so to topic again ........................
I used this self same set up to determine that the Newbury purple vinyl issue of AYE [US stereo compilation variant] was the best pressing I had heard of this title!

I have the 2010 stereo EH Legacy pressings and have NO sibilance whatsoever.

The set up is fine. What I get via this set up is what is on the record.
If a pressing has sibilance it'll show on this set up.
I do understand that the Legacy pressing has a treble bias to quite a degree.
Also notice the missing Bass on the Legacy when put against the MCA? Even using tubes this should be noticeable even if other detail is missing.

There is sibilance on at least three sides of the 2010 Legacy ELL.
there is very minor sibilance on the MCA on two sides but you are hard pressed to notice!

Agree. though there is no noticeable difference on playback from this to the standard black pressing.
Still, it is groovy orange

I ordered the limited blue version too.

I did notice that the standard black vinyl version is currently selling on Amazon for $17.99, free shipping with Prime, and is 180gm as opposed to 150gm for the blue version.

Even at $29.99 for 2 lps, the blue is priced well, at least compared to a lot of reissues these days. $17.99 for the standard black vinyl seems like a steal..

Does the black come with printed inner sleeves or anything? Just curious of what's included with the NC

Anyone know why Newbury Comics would charge me sales tax on my order? They don't have a store in CA, do they?

I'm trying to figure out what "CA State Tax" even is, we don't have a single uniform sales tax rate. Sounds like skimming.

From their FAQ: FAQ | Newbury Comics »

I still think they're high, but maybe they are paying it to the State, and somehow it's making it to my city.
