Yes, just looked that up. Didn't notice it in my first pass through the issue.

Vibration control is the current big thing in tweaks. I know it works, but Steve, can you tell us a little more?

Check out the Symposium website at

Great products. I use them under all of my recording and mastering gear as well as my playback equipment.

    Steve,
Could you possibly narrow it down a bit as to what you use? These guys have a ton of different products! ;) :D

I use Symposium Ultra Platforms with Rollerblocks and superballs.

The Super Platforms are good as well, for less money.

Folks, these are expensive high-end tweaks. Not for the faint of wallet! ;)

Hmmm, I think I'll stick with the software purchases... ;)

I recently met an audiophile who does his own tweaks. He uses butcher blocks (from the Ikea store - they come in different sizes and are solid wood) and balances them on spikes.

These are for the faint of wallet! ;) But I don't have any yet so I can't vouch for them.... but my audiophile friend swears by them! Says he could spend $700 - $900 or more on a wood type audiophile stand but spent a fraction of the cost!

    Just an idea.... !

Peter B. of Symposium sez that wood doesn't work correctly for vibration control.

If anyone should know, he should!

Cement blocks work as a cheap fix, but are really ugly.
