Snagged two at WallyWorld ... Sec 205 Row GG.
So that's the lower level behind the first section.
Center about 8 rows back so fairly far back for
$85 ea. Add the "convenience fees" and it came
to $209. Not too shabby but the ghosts from
The '60s are laughin' at us.

Thanks for the heads up, guys. Will be fun.

Gary Kemp seems the odd man here -- from new romantic soul boy to purveyor of psychedelia seems a stretch.
    Robyn Hitchcock I would understand.

The first time I heard Hitchcock it was on college radio
and I thought it was Barrett himself. He's that close
    vocally. I agree – I did a double-take of Spandau
Ballet too but a lot of these guys have very eclectic
personal tastes. It's also a VERY good gig – the kind
that would introduce an unknown to the world in a
    very good way.

What could be cool here is if Nick decided to turn this
experiment into a John Mayall of psych music: every
tour would feature a new band of supporting players
    who are HUGE psych fans.

Purchased 2 tickets for Minneapolis. God, what a pain that Ticketmaster system is. It took numerous entries to acquire them from their arcane ticket search algo. Had a schedule conflict with the LNation presale on Wednesday. No idea if I would've been able to get better seats with that.

I wasn't interested in spending big $$ for this either. Just being there and listening is more important to me than being up close for this show.

  6. Seems like the set-lists on the European concerts (so far) have all been super consistent. But I wonder if they'll shake up the set-list any for the US leg of the tour? Like maybe drop 3 tunes, and add 3 different (new (old!)) ones!?

There was some variation between the initial four UK gigs and the subsequent full tour, so I suppose it's a possibility.

Yikes, an empty tube is no good!

Great that you got a shipping notice though. I'm still waiting to hear on mine (ordered the non-round one). I did get tix for the show as well, so very excited about the whole deal. I would love that poster to show up soon though. :)

Sure beats standing in line as in The Good Ol' Days
with no assurances you'd score. But sometimes you
could chat up like-minded strangers so there
    was that.

Bet on it. How's 'bout an oddball instrumental from "More"?
Or "Saucerful ..." itself? "Cymbaline" would be nice.

I always liked it ... very menacing.

I'd think Nick would dust the cobwebs off his centerpiece
from "Ummagumma" ... "The Grand Vizier's Garden Party".

Methinks he was referring to that year or so following Barrett's departure ...
and they all believe the only thing that kept the thing going was when they
finally got "Saucerful ..." together. The song. I gotta agree, they were rudderless
at first. Good thing they got their act together. Barrett or not, "Piper ..." was an
    exciting debut.

Both signed posters arrived today. The rectangular is numbered to 1750 and is in perfect shape.

The round one is numbered to 250 and mine had two minor edge bumps. Fortunately they only go in a few centimeters and don't intrude on the artwork or numbering etc. Once it is framed and matted, even I will forget it's there. Now to find a framer that will take on a round print.

I'm super excited to see this show, but man, the Masonic is a crappy, sterile venue for a show like this.
I want to stand and boogie, not sit quietly.
I bought box seats at the back of the floor, which should work out OK.

I'm going to the Boston show at the Orpheum. I get a small bit of joy knowing that Pink Floyd played there in 1971 and that Nick will be playing "One of These Days" on the same stage all these years later.

For those on DIME, there's a hi-res fan video "Nick Mason 2018-09-09 den Atelier, Luxembourg [multicam] (.mkv)" torrent currently running. You'll need lots of downloading bandwidth, though--it's 13.2GB.
