Non-Music Beatles References

    Perhaps my all-time favorite reference.

    The 1994 movie Greedy concerns various relatives scheming for an inheritance. There's no concern with any British rock bands from the '60s. But eventually villainous Phil Hartman grows exasperated at being thwarted by hero Michael J. Fox and tells him menacingly :

    "I didn't like the Beatles -- and I don't like you."

    My memory is vague, but in Men In Black there's a scene where Tommy Lee Jones is seeing the futuristic operation with Will Smith for the first time. Jones, observing some audio device from the future says something along the lines of "Great, I'll need to buy the White Album again."

    He held up a micro CD and heaven knows how many of those discs The Beatles would have actually needed but I'm sure someone's done the math.
