Inspired by "Not on CD... and you want it!" thread - what modern records piss you off by their lack of vinyl release? Imagine completing a Deep Purple vinyl collection only to find out that one of their studio albums (1998's Abandon) was never released on LP! Not that it's an essential record or anything but you know what I mean!

    The Fall - The Unutterable.

Their only studio album not to get a vinyl release. UNACCEPTABLE.

Great thread & great minds think alike Anton, I was only thinking yesterday whilst looking at the CD thread "Maybe somebody should do the same for vinyl", so I'm glad you started this. :righton:

My first choice would be to see a re-release on vinyl of "Bob Dylan's "Time Out Of Mind"

Something else I'd like to see are the remainder of Tom Waits Warner LP's coming out to sit along side the first four that were re-released a couple of years back.

I never got a chance to buy and listen to songs on Vinyl, As cds and online music has taken over the industry of publishing Music.

  8. PG's new release "And I'll Scratch Yours" has been released on CD and DD, but not yet LP. GRRRR!!!!! I'm sure it's coming, but when?

Anything by Gillian Welch would be nice on vinyl.

A picture-disc only LP release does not count in my humble opinion, and this one deserves the full Mofi treatment.

Joni Mitchell catalogue from Turbulent Indigo onwards.

  17. All the classic 90's and early 00's titles that sound good but were never issued or only released in Europe in tiny quantities...

    Gillian Welch (all!)
PJ Harvey (they were supposed to reissue about 5 of her titles, now cancelled?)
    Emmylou Harris - Wrecking Ball
Lucinda Williams - Car Wheels on a Gravel Road
Elliot Smith - Figure 8 and XO (no, don't want the Plain versions)

More excellent titles from EMI, done by Ray Staff at Abbey Road... (I guess these would be '70's era recordings, as per the Bowie titles...?) Maybe they could reissue some of the classic Wire titles, since those 4 Men With Beards re-presses were so sad...

I would say anything by Bevinda also - that is, if anyone else than me cared.

The Kinks - To The Bone was released on vinyl. I've got a copy, but it was pretty scarce even on release.
