Now here is a BIG lens

This has to be the biggest lens I have ever seen for an SLR - it took me a while to spot the camera and then I couldn't stop laughing :) It's a 5200mm whoppa !!

WOW, this lens lens is a biggie! 104 times mag of a standard 50mm Focal Length lens on a 35mm frame. A "portrait" lens for distant mosquitos :D :D :D

PS: Maybe this belongs in the "I Can See For Miles" thread :D

I read that you would have to be 750 feet away to get all of a person in a 35mm frame and a 747 would have to be 35000 feet away to fit in frame.

Good thing it's a "mirror" lens or it'd be half a mile long! ;)

If it wasn't a mirror it would probably be quite heavy too ;)

It would have to come w/ its own "cherry picker" (crane) to pick it up! :D
