The thread "Obscure songs from the '60s that you love to share with people" has been getting a lot of posts and attention lately. But I've looked high and low with the forum search function and didn't see any thread like that for the 1970s. I love 1960s music, and I think it's probably my favorite decade for music. But other decades are great too, and it's not like all the good music suddenly stopped on January 1, 1970. So let's explore the 1970s too! :)

Here's kind of a randomly chosen one from 1970 to get things rolling.

Feelin' Good - Hollins and Starr

I love the 1970 album by Morning just called Morning. Very CSN-esque. Here are a couple from that.

And another from that Morning album, but all the songs on it are great.

And here's a soul song that should be considered a classic, from 1970. It was totally obscure until released on one of the Eclectic Soul compilations about ten years ago. Since then, it's been on a few soundtracks and compliations.

I could pick nearly any early John Prine song, but this is one of my favorites:

Great idea for a thread! Here's two of my favorite obscure Carpenters songs together on this YouTube video.

The Leopards entire 1st album, most notably the opening track "Road To Jamaica". They are the most Kinks sounding band ever (and yet they are from Kansas!)

Great song! I first heard this as it was the B side to Really Free, which was their biggest hit, getting TV and radio play in the UK.

Wow, I'm glad this thread is getting a lot of responses. It would be great though if people can mention what year their obscure song was released.

Here's an obscure 1970 song from Petula Clark, who wrote it. Sounds like a hit to me.
