Very cool pic, Myke - thank you!

One of the Encore channels ran the series with primarily uncut episodes some years ago and the prints looked rather good. It's a shame that a BD release couldn't be worked out. The series is quite fun and would look very nice on BD. It only lasted one season and would fit on 3 discs plus a disc for bonus features.

I remember, even as a kid, thinking that Kato could easily kick the Hornets butt. Hell, I remember thinking during the Batman-Hornet team-up episodes that Kato could kick the crap outta ALL of 'em!;)

Maybe this latest reboot, if successful, will enable the tv series to finally have its rights issues resolved and result in a BD release.

I'm so thankful I had a DVD recorder when encore action showed these mostly uncut and commercial free. Not high art but great fun.

I merged the Encore episodes with ones I had recorded on tape in the early 80s prior to the remasters, which cut out the coming attractions and recaps on Part 2 episodes of the Part 1's. Also, for some reason, the tag scene is missing from the pilot episode.

I use AT&T Uverse as my cable provider. On it there's a station/network call H&I (Heroes & Icons). Loaded with just about every comic book series from the old days (Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Swamp Thing, Tarzan, etc.). They do back to back Green Hornet episodes every week. I watch them primarily to watch young Bruce Lee!

Can't watch that channel as everything is in fake widescreen. TV shows were shot and are meant to be seen in 4x3.

Love, love, love the show. I have the series on bootleg DVDs, but would love to see an official release.

Hopefully an Official release will get legally resolved and released to DVD/Blu-ray, please!
