strangly compellng album. Love Overture, and have a likeing for 'Fleance' though I understand that not all band members were happy with it.

Interesting change in personnel for that one from the earlier two. Simon House would go on to play with Hawkwind and David Bowie, and Paul Buckmaster is perhaps best known for his string arrangements for Elton John.

Very nice performance. I wonder why there has been no live audio material from their heyday released (separately). There seem to be enough radio sessions and live/video tapes in circulation to put together a decent live compilation.

Been there! I would add that the opening track "Mosaic" sounds ominous, like a domestic squabble a-brewin'.

I just picked up a 90s reissue of Macbeth on vinyl. It sounds wonderful and it's very quiet; very cheap indeed. I would normally never listen to this kind of music and in fact never researched them out all these years. I am not exaggerating to say that Polanski's Macbeth is my favourite movie of all time, so I know the music pretty well. I came across a Japanese LP of Alchemy and liked it a lot. You see quite a lot of TEB in Tokyo but the first issues are very pricey, so this is just to say I really can recommend the reissue.

Track 7 on Side 2 ('Prophecies') has a particularly good soundstage; the special effects really feel like they are in the room. I really love this record!
