can it be that older amps, dating from the time when vinyl was sold predominantly provide a better, natural- and warmsounding alternative to newer amps in the priceregion under 500 dollar? what do you think, do i have the right idea or not? i am currently loking at an used pioneer-amp, the A 447: it has a switchable MM/MC phonostage and a subsonic filter and is from 1990. I suppose since this was still in the vinylera, that such an amp may provide a round and warm vinylamplification? does anyone have experiences with this amp or other suggestions?
