    I like her first record:

And I also enjoy these ones:
    Banks of the Ohio
    If Not For You
    Jolene
Magic (maybe my favorite of hers)
    Xanadu

But apart from her early Aussie TV appearances with Pat Carrol, I haven't really found anything else of her's I enjoy. It's all just too soft IMO.

    Well at least you tried.:D

Don’t watch that awful looking mini-series about her life starring Delta Goodrem. It’ll only put you off her even more.:)

It's not from lack of either. I have the same problem with The Carpenters, quite like some of their tunes, but much of the stuff is too soft for me as well, but then, what do I know, I enjoy Pat Boone's material.....

It’s odd because given many of the other people you like, Olivia should fit right in.

Like the Susan George avatar, BTW. Is it from Straw Dogs?

Maybe I need to go the album route, there's probably some great hidden tracks I'm missing. I'm determined to try and find some more material of hers I enjoy, because she's clearly talented.

    Yes.

This was the B side of Till You Say You’ll Be Mine. I always preferred it.

The Aussie press are reporting that Olivia will perform with Delta Goodrem at the opening ceremony for the Commonwealth Games next week.

False alarm from the press, apparently - one of Olivia's reps confirmed she isn't doing it. Odd that the press would get a detail like that wrong though... unless it is a virtual duet?

Did they go out of their way to make the art on these as ugly as possible? I can’t bring myself to buy these just because of the graphics.

How do you like the music? Did Hatfield do a good job?

Perhaps Olivia’s seen those trailers and thought better of it.:)

I am surprised she appears to be supporting the TV movie now. I was making disparaging remarks about it on Chloe’s Instagram and she was liking and commenting on them.:D

Hope Olivia is OK. I always worry now when I haven’t seen her for a bit.

Am listening to the Juliana Hatfield album on Spotify at last.

Juliana kind of sounds like Sheryl Crow after she’s had a few too many, but I’m enjoying the album. The ‘grungy’ guitar gets old on some of the songs but it’s a good listen. Like her upbeat take on Dancin’ ‘Round & ‘Round. Juliana was also brave to tackle Xanadu as she doesn’t have anywhere near Olivia’s vocal range. Magic is a bit ropey, though... She has managed to take some of the dullness out of I Honestly Love You, however. I thought that was impossible!

Really nice version of Suspended In Time too...It might be better than Olivia’s! Not as simpering.

    Sorry Olivia.:D

Always wondered if she was wearing a wig in that clip... Her hair looks longer than I remember it being in that period. Thicker too. I’m mean it’s probably not a wig, but she was definitely having a good hair day if it wasn’t.:)

I don't think it is a wig, but you are right it is just so thick, that is usually a tell tale sign.
Have you seen Elton's new, erm.. shall we call it a hairstyle?. Its now flat on top and with a heavy fringe, and a kind of rusty colour....
