Congrats. My wife has suggested that I get one instead of all these receivers I'm sending out of state to be repaired. Lol. Love her but I'm good. Maybe one day till then, I wish you a happy audio journey.
    Cheers.

The phono's area the same. Some of us lunatics own more than one turntable. For various reasons, they're different, and provide different presentations. Having 2 phono's allows for both to be available without having to unplug one to use the other. It's a nice feature. My MAC 4100 receiver has it.

Yes, for the TT, I can definitely understand! When it comes to CD players, well, I was kind of surprised myself too!
Still haven't understood the purpose of it, however, that's still an available Line input, no matter what you're using it for after all!

 Sure, Please come and help yourself! Only thing is, I'm in France, and for the record the AC voltage here is 230v, but I guess there's no problem to make a round-trip overseas flight for a 10-minute test drive after all! ;)

  16. But the input selector says you're listening to the radio!! :) Seriously though, that's a real beauty and a keeper. Enjoy!

  17. Kinda late to this show but relevant. I've had a ma6850 with a grado ph-1 phono preamp, arcam fjm CD player, b&w 804s speakers and marantz tt-15 turntable, audioquest interconnects and speaker wire for years now. For the money, I doubt you could do better. This amp is incredible. So strong, yet not fatiguing. I liked it better than an mc452 and mac preamp I heard once with same TT and speakers. The 6850 has more life. Tough to beat.

Big fan of McIntosh amps. I have MC402, MC202, and MC122 amps and a C15 preamp. I love them all.

Beauty! Whats a good price to purchase an MA6850? Someone is selling one locally for $2400.
