Well the film's premise will be a tad boring if QT doesn't spice it up a bit. End result should be fascinating I would imagine.

What's the significance of this tune in relation to 1969, does it remind you of a Beach Boys song ?

Yes!!! More enthusiasm needed in this thread. Should get wind of a expanded cast in a few weeks, start shooting this year for a 2019 release.

An old 1970s friend of mine had a small house about a block and a half away from the Sharon Tate mansion on Cielo Drive in Benedict Canyon. He pointed it out to me one time as we were going out to lunch, and I was momentarily stunned. The guy shrugged and explained that he had bought his house around 1972, and didn't mind that the real estate values had gone down a little bit right after the murders. My impression is that subsequent owners bulldozed the place and built a completely new house on that lot, so the original place hasn't existed for years...

Spawn Ranch in the Chatsworth area is gone, but the property still exists and I think you could fake that easily. If Tarantino makes a $100 million movie, it'd be no problem rebuilding sets to replace these locations. What would be tough would be recreating Sunset Strip in the summer of 1969, as well as Dennis Wilson's Malibu house and so on... but with VFX, damn near anything is possible.

Wonder how much detail QT will include Terry Melcher ( Doris Day's son) for example one studio head who passed on Charlie's tape.

I tend to agree with your assessment of Tarantino's last three movies though I think I liked "The Hateful Eight" better than you did. I absolutely despised "Django" (except for the Candyland part) and, like you, liked bits of pieces of "Inglorious Basterds" but felt it failed, over all, in terms of being a good or interesting film.

    Hollywood '69?
    Al Pacino is involved now.

Uma Thurman would like to work with him again.

Really rated The Hateful Eight, begs repeats. Death Proof ? Just wish it not in in QT resume/ cannon oeuvre. he should have used a pseudonym.

He had my curiousity, but with the addition of Al he's now got my full attention.

Only one not on board is mouth machine Samuel L Jackson, other work commitment, perhaps a cameo.

Any chance Burt Reynolds can get a Best Supporting Actor nod? I didn't think he'd get another opportunity, but here it is!

    Yep.

Well, if anyone is going to make a fun Manson film it’s Tarantino. I hope he puts some thought into
    It.

With the exception of Hateful 8, I think all of QT's movies are a rollicking good time.

Absolutely loved the Hateful 8. Quentin has been extremely consistent throughout the years. Leo is one of my favorite actors working today, love Brad too, so I'm definitely looking forward to this
