I honestly am not seeing a problem here. The effects hold up remarkably well. It was a good mix of practical and CGI. Most films use 100% CGI these days and look the worse for it.

Oh I agree some CGI looks to much Today and Jurassic Park still holds up pretty well, in-fact when they 1st get to tha Island and see tha Grazing Herd still well amazes Me, but tha Breath from tha side of tha T-Rex head rather than mouth/nostril's still Bugs Me.. Always has ..but then so did tha Rubber Spikes tha kill Trinity..

  9. Hopefully he'll follow in the White Album guy's footsteps and release a BD of every copy of Jurassic Park he gets being played simultaneously, on top of each other.

Not long fired up me Jurassic Park DVD.. Still looks Great! which for saying how old it is.. But the Sound.. WOW!! I Had forgotten how Good this was, before you even see tha T-Rex you hear it, feel it approaching.. My JPW Subwoofer was going NUTS!! and I have it dialed down pretty quiet on tha Volume.. When tha Neighbours are out I'm watching whole Movie again.

They do hold up ...when viewed on VHS!

(To be fair the entire film looks like crap on BluRay - not just the effects - because it is a very old transfer. The film needs to be rescanned with state of the art, um, scanning.)

When I saw the topic I immediately thought of them and "Jerry Maguire" VHS tapes. I'm not surprised to see them show up here.

New plan. Get 150 Sylvania tv/vcrs. Load them all with Jurassic Park. Get 150 people to press play in a sequence to create the largest Jurassic park flange ever recorded.

This reminds me of a Mel Gibson movie where everytime he saw a book he had to buy it. I don't remember the name of it but Julia Roberts was in it also.

To me, it doesn't look like a collection, but rather an attempt to fill an entire wall with identical copies of a movie tape which has a very iconic cover picture.

It's more a kind of pop art decoration.

A collection is about owning many different items in a series, not hundreds of copies of the same item.

The T-Rex roar in Jurassic Park is one of the scariest things I've ever heard in a movie.
