A few months ago, I sought advise on some used speakers and received mostly very constructive feedback. The tweeter on the speaker turned out to be faulty. Again, I listen to both vinyl and CD's. Mostly jazz. I inquired on Craigslist about a pair of Def Tech BP10B's. Speakers are selling at $600, which is about half of the current cost of new. I have a large room where I listen and I mostly use the speakers for music, not movies. I also have a sub. The seller can set them up for a demo. A pair is selling on Ebay for $600, plus $125 shipping. The speakers will be powered by an Yamaha Adventage A-740. Just looking for some input. Thanks.

I remember looking at the Def Techs some years ago. My one negative criticism is I am not a fan of the 'sock' approach to the speaker covering. It looked cheesy to me at that time.

I listened to them and they sounded good for movies but not so much for music. I thought they were un-involving and didn't make 'music' but sound.

Thanks. I really looking for speakers to enhance music not movies.
