Like this US only ELO sleeve - just looks like a cheap CD -era comp cover. Any others?

A fantastic album which the art department couldn't be bothered with. I'm sure a lot of people never got it because it looks like nuthin'.

Nearly every Elvis album after the 1950's (the 70's in particular are awful. Every album looks like something you'd buy off a spinner rack in a truck stop in Arkansas).

Yeah, the US version was MUCH better, not only cover wise and title wise, but imo content wise (the single tracks really help round it out imo, esp 'I'm Only Dreaming').

    This looks really cheap.
Due to legal problems, it even turned worse when reissued:

In 1995, Cal Schenkel made a great work providing a new cover:

For the 2012 remasters, the second "blank space" version was used again.

Good choice! Every time I see this cover, I assume it's some grey market interview disc or tv soundtrack.

The "empty frame" Best Band cover looks better to me than the original in a way, but the original was a pleasant surprise since it was the first Zappa album since Zappa In New York to have a picture of the band.

Big difference I think when it's a deliberate artistic choice, done with irony, and just a bad design.

Okay, so it's meant to look like a typical mid-60s Soul LP. Still, very cheap looking (on purpose).

I've always thought this cover isn't up to Bruce's reputation as an artist and musician. What were his record company's art department thinking when they designed this?? If only they had removed the smaller photo it would have been a half-decent cover. Another example of "less is more" IMHO.

Looks like it was made with the free software that comes with your CD burner.

I quite like it - I imagine that it's Bruce operating a little Bruce hand puppet :)

I believe the idea was to illustrate how comfortable Bruce was once he strapped on the electric guitar as opposed to the casual pose he strikes with the acoustic.
