Well, I'm currently looking for anything and everything by German experimental band Palais Schaumburg. So remastered CDs or an anthology would be nice.

Also, the complete works of the Portsmouth Sinfonia should be issued on CD. There was supposed to be an anthology some time ago (with liner notes by Martin Lewis), but it never happened. The LPs are pretty much impossible to find.

And I'd like all the obscure Kraftwerk edits and remixes reissued on CD. Maybe do a box set with single sleeves replicas and have every edit and b-side on its respective disc. (There were a lot of editing/mixing variations worldwide.) They should do the same for the Smiths.

I was just thinking about this one last night. It now sells for ridiculous prices on Amazon and eBay.

I think this is horrendous. It went back hours after receiving it.

Other than some of the ones already mentioned, have to put in a vote for --

David Werner - Whizz Kid (1974, see avatar), fine mid-70's glam-influenced rock...would also like to see his other 2 (Imagination Quota from '75 and self-titled from 1979) out as well in some form

Fabulous Poodles - any or all 3 LP's

Jules Shear - The Eternal Return, Demo-Itis, Watch Dog

Nick Lowe - Labour Of Lust (although that one looks like it's coming next year)

I forgot about that one! That's been on my wishlist since I stupidly passed on buying the remastered disc with bonus tracks during a trip to Seattle 13 years ago. I never saw it again.

  10. That's quite a wish, since it never even appeared in true stereo (throughout) on vinyl.

  11. The Fabulous Poodles is indeed a great disc. I can be talked into selling mine (PM me).

My daily driver 'Hot Buttered Soul' is on German vinyl.

When was this remastered with bonus tracks?! I have the UK Demon CD version from 1990 and there aren't any bonus tracks on there. The US Columbia release had different tracks (as the US LP had slightly different tracks from the UK LP, so did the CD), but no bonuses and it wasn't remastered. Do you remember what you saw by any chance? (I know it was 13 years ago, but I'm a huge Nick Lowe fan/collector...:))

I just wish more of the better sounding masterings/pressings are the ones that stayed in print so the obscure ones are easier to get a hold of.Iron maiden maiden japan and the complete Beast Over hammersmith live cds should have stayed in print. It`ll be too bad if the original Zeppelin Song Remains The same soundtrack ever becomes extinct.

It is astonishing to me that Gladys Knight & the Pips album Imagination is not available on CD. A smash hit in 1973, with three top US 10 singles, including the number 1 hit "Midnight Train to Georgia" (the other two were "I've Got to Use My Imagination" and "Best Thing that Ever Happened to Me"). It took me a long time to track down a Japan Buddah two-fer CD originally released in 1994; that's long out of print. It belongs up there with Stevie Wonder's Innervisions and Marvin Gaye's Let's Get it On, but is largely forgotten, which is a shame.

Here's a link to Gladys from that time, singing the title track. Compare her to modern R&B divas with their histrionics - utterly effortless. What a great singer.
